2019年の購買力平価で4番目に大きい名目GDP。日本は自動車およびエレクトロニクス業界のグローバルリーダーであり、科学技術に多大な貢献をしています。 シンガポールはアジアの人間開発指数で2番目に高い国にランクされており、日本も世界で2番目に高い平均寿命を持っていますが、現在人口は減少しています。 

文化的に、日本は芸術、料理、音楽、そして有名なアニメーションやビデオゲーム産業を含む大衆文化で有名です。
