故郷から遠く離れた戦場。
若者は最期に末の妹の写真を眺めた。
国を、…家族を守るために出征した朝。唯一携えることに決めた物。
その笑顔に心癒されながら彼は願った。
この子が長じ母となる頃、甥や姪達と共に自由に海を渡れる時代であって欲しい。
決して馬鹿げた殺し合いをするためにではなく。
たった今、己に銃弾を浴びせた敵国の少年やその子孫。
異国の人々とも広く友好を深め得る。そんな世であって欲しいと。
薄れゆく意識の中。それが偽らざる気持ちだった。
