Rootless of The Cat

　There was a cat in a town called Bakery Town. The cat was called "Rootless" by everyone because it was a rare cat in the world that didn't grow flowers.

　One starry day, Rootless made a wish. 
"Please, please let a flower grow on me. It doesn't matter if it's big or small. It doesn't matter if it's beautiful or ugly. It doesn't matter if it's on my head, my tail, or anywhere else. May a flower grow on me too."
Then the goddess smiled gently and said to Rootless,
"You already have a brilliant flower. The most beautiful flower in the world."
Rootless tilted his head. He couldn't help but wonder where in me he could fine such a flower. The goddess still smiling, gently stroked Rootless' head. He made a lovely noise in his throat from the feeling. 

　From that day on, Rootless asked everyone in town where his flower was. However, they all laughed and replied, 
"You are Rootless. A rootless plant that never grows flowers. You are a rare male cat. From the tip of your head to the tip of tail, even the soles of your feet are flowerless."
Every time he heard those words, it made him sad. Still, he didn't give up. His efforts paid off and he finally found someone who could see his flower. It was one hawk who could no longer fly due to an injury. Rootless was so worried about him that he took him home and patched him up. Hawk thanked him very much. He looked into his eyes and said, "Your flowers are very beautiful. They sparkle and shine like jewels."
Rootless rolled his eyes. 
"You can see my flower ?"
He asked. Hawk nodded with a smile. 
"Yes, I can! How can you not see a flower this bright?"
Root less asked Hawk where his flower was.
"Your flower is far, far away from your eyes. It's the flower that makes your eyes shine."

　This story spread through Bakery Town and was passed on to everyone. No one makes fun of cat anymore. "Rootless" became "Pupil flower". Even now, Cat and Hawk fly and run in the sky and on the ground together.
