At first, I thought Hallow was faking his affection for Yuzu to get close to the party, but once you gave more into the way his love works I think he was actually sincere. Once he recognized Yuzi as the soul he lost he didn’t want to let him out of his sight again.
I liked how proactive Yuzu was, and his relation with Hallow. Also props to him for keeping his chin up. While Ikuma was the golden boy, Yuzu couldn’t even use his powers for an oddly long period of time. It was nice to see Yuzu taking the lead and to see the Incarnations did care for him too, even when Ikuma was right there.
Yuzu’s a good kid. Though I do wonder if Hallow’s really going to leave him alone after this. He only promised to give his soul back.
I’m also really curious about Naiya. Since he found out who Ikuma was, he’s been doing his best to look out for him, but he really can’t leave Yuzu either.
I really enjoyed this sequel, and I’m happy to see you’re still writing. Good luck on your future projects. 😊
